Have you tried Muse?

I'm surprised by how quickly it's become a part of my daily routine.

If you haven't seen it yet, Muse is Meta's new personal AI agent.

Think of it as an assistant you text, except it can actually go do things for you: search, send messages, follow up.

What it helps me with

My wife and I are building out a nursery for our son, and she has an awesome vision of old basketballs and footballs, deflated and hanging on hooks on one of the walls.

So to find those old balls, we started searching Facebook Marketplace, manually 😒

Since downloading Muse (don’t forget to use code CX40H3), I've been able to set up a daily routine for it to search FB Marketplace within a 25-mile radius around mine and her work addresses + our home address.

Let me break it down!

  • Muse: the agent that runs the whole thing on a daily schedule

  • FB Marketplace: the source it searches, across three 25-mile radiuses

  • My instructions: what we're specifically looking for, so it only flags real matches

  • Texts: how listings get to me, then to my wife for a thumbs up

  • Seller messages: Muse reaches out with a starting price once we say yes

What it looks like in practice

When it finds a listing, based on what I told it we're specifically looking for, it'll ping me.

I can then instruct Muse to text her the listings and ask if I should inquire about any of them.

After getting the thumbs up, I'll have Muse reach out to the sellers with a starting price for each we're interested in.

It's a pretty cool, real-world use case that saves us time and ensures we catch any listing we'd be interested in!

Same system, different problem

Take the basketballs out of it and this is a pattern any business can use:

  1. Pick the source where the thing you're looking for shows up

  2. Tell the agent exactly what counts as a match

  3. Schedule the search to run on its own (daily, hourly, whatever the decision needs)

  4. Send each match to the person who makes the call

  5. Let the agent take the next step once someone approves

Change the source and the match changes with it. A few ways to point it at revenue:

  • Hiring-signal leads: job boards, LinkedIn job posts → "Which companies on our target list just posted for a role our product replaces?"

  • Funding-round outreach: Crunchbase, press releases, SEC Form D filings → "Which companies that fit our ICP raised money in the last 7 days?"

  • Champion job changes: LinkedIn, past customer contacts in the CRM → "Which of our old champions just started at a new company?"

  • Competitor churn signals: G2 and Capterra reviews, Reddit threads → "Who left a 1 or 2-star review of Competitor X this week?"

  • Closed-lost revival: CRM closed-lost reasons, our release notes → "Which lost deals cited a gap we've since shipped?"

Used leather basketballs and footballs aren't on FB Marketplace in great quantities, unfortunately lol. So if you have any you want to get rid of, hit me up 🏀

If this gave you an idea, grab Muse here and drop code CX40H3 in your settings within 48 hours of joining to get 1 billion tokens.

Cheers,
Matt
